Children Inc. is an international charity that was established in 1964 and has over 300 projects in 23 countries. We were honored when Children Inc. selected our agency to help them with their primary objective: to create a website that would encourage people to take action. A bold and minimal creative direction was established. Impactful photography and a vibrant color palette was incorporated to stir visitor emotion and to capture the user’s attention. Large sized fonts and prominent messaging highlight important information while keeping content easy to follow. Strong calls to action are powerful and entice visitors to sponsor a child and ultimately make contributions.

Icons

Custom icons were created to draw further attention to important titles, facts and information. These simple design elements may be small but they make a big difference. The icons served as a great complement to both the numerical data and website text while keeping the overall design minimal.

Responsive

With so many visitors browsing on a tablet or mobile phone we ensured the website was just as effective regardless of the device. We paid special attention to critical functionality such as making a donation or sponsoring a child so that it remained simple. Customers browsing on a mobile device are able to take action instantly and all website content remains easily accessible without additional clicks.

Results

Over 250,000 children have been provided with assistance and the new website and creative brand elements will help ensure that the company’s online presence engages additional sponsorship. And although it seems like Kenya’s children in need are a distant problem, the new website gives visitors instant credibility and the opportunity to make a difference no matter how far they are located.
